In response, in person, by a reader of the last blog, we have a request for the top varietals with the highest level of caffeine. We can get you most of the followings, but you'll have to live with fresh roasted coffee beans...

So, you want coffee with a kick?
If you want optimal caffeine from your coffee or espresso then you better understand the basics. Learn and understand the following:
Know your beans. Understand which coffee and level of roast works with your taste and which have the caffeine level you desire.
Fresh is best. Only fresh roasted coffee is optimally charged with caffeine. Even vacuum-packaging does coffee injustice. Coffee and espresso should be used within a few weeks of it being roasted; ideally 24 to 72 hours after it was roasted. It should be used within 45 seconds (not days) of it being ground.
Brewed or expelled correctly. Coffee must be ground to the correct ratio for the type of bean and must be brewed at the correct temperature in the correct amount of time. Espresso must also be ground correctly and pressed and expelled at the correct temperature and pressure for optimal flavor and caffeine level.
If you’re not understanding these few basics then you could be throwing away your caffeine, flavor, and money.
